Community Living Campaign

CityBridge Laguna Honda supports the Community Living Campaign’s Passport to Community class, which connects neighbors through in-person technology training delivered in supportive, multilingual environments. The goal is to boost participants’ digital skills, foster social connection, and build lasting friendships by meeting learners where they are – linguistically, culturally, and technologically.  The program is based at Crocker Amazon in San Francisco’s Inner Sunset District.

Taught in English and Cantonese, instruction focuses first on foundational digital literacy, such as email, internet use, and device basics, and expands based on community interests. Photo storage and sharing, music streaming, and tech tools for navigating San Francisco are included.

Vivalon

CityBridge Laguna Honda is pleased to support Vivalon’s Better Living Through Technology, which covers essential digital literacy topics that focus on practical skills and applications relevant to seniors’ lives. The curriculum continually evolves to help older adults use technology for staying connected to friends and family, accessing community resources, communicating with doctors, and conducting research. One-off workshops designed to address specific interests and skill levels are a vital component to helping older adults with their technology skills.

With the growing popularity of this program, there is a 2–3-week waitlist, demonstrating both the demand for and value of one-to-one learning.

Vivion’s program targets Marin County’s older adult population with a specific emphasis on providing programming in the underserved communities in Marin County, including, but not limited to, Marin City and the Canal neighborhood.  Although there are no requirements for participation, the focus is on low-income adults 60 years and older.
